Bocairent is a beautiful medevil town only a short drive (about 25mins) away is located on a hill in the beautiful Sierra Mariola mountain range. With its steep streets and winding, passageways and steps, it is delightl to explore. During the early 19th Century a bullring was carved out of the rock. Nowadays, summer concerts are regularly held there. The church has a small museum with paintings and church plate. A cliff in the area has many caves of unknown origin. These always prove to be popular with the kids. They are a labrytinth of interconnecting caves approx 50 caves in all. You crawl through from one to the next as most are not really full standing height

Please call for opening times of caves 96 235 00 14 as they vary throughout the year. Would not recommend this for the very young or elderly as there is a lot of climbing and is a little dangerous for very young children
